With two top NAIA program commits in their 2025 Senior Class, goalkeeper Alaina Lehman and midfielder Taylor Klein are looking to leave a legacy for Kearney along with fellow Seniors Keanna Baxter and Kylee Smith. Tenacious, quick, and strong 2026 Junior D2 committed midfielder/forward Addison Fischer is a threat in the middle along with fellow 2026 Junior forward Josie Sparks who isn't afraid to go into a tackle or take a shot. Kearney's class of 2026 Juniors are fantastic also including defenders Charlie Dollar & Tatum Gregory and midfielder Lily Rinehart.  If Kearney can organize their talent, they could be a problem in Class 3 this year.

An incredibly strong senior class that is used to winning seasons and being State Championship contenders, Liberty North will be making another run at being the big kids on campus. Their strength comes from their midfield with leaders like Top D2 commit 2025 Seniors Kylie Richardson along with Addison Armstrong and Lexi Whalen playing incredibly well on both sides of the ball and love to take their shots.  Connecting to the top we anticipate a heavy weight being placed on another Top D2 commit 2025 Senior forward Berkleigh Salmond to find the back of the net with her speed & tenacity this season.

Lee's Summit North

Lee's Summit North is going to be a problem this year. LSN could very well make a run to the top with its fast attacking offense lead by Top 2025 Senior Kylie Binger and Top 2026 Junior Presli Houk. LSN's backline is stacked with its 2025 committed Senior Goalkeeper Mallory McWillie and 2025 Seniors Abbey Euritt & Bailey Passanini. We expect 2025 Senior Kara Robinson to round it out in the middle being able to pay both sides of the ball.  Lee's Summit North is the team to watch.

Their Schedule:

We expect explosiveness and quick movement out of this group this year.

        1.   Blue Springs South
        2.   Grain Valley
        3.   Blue Springs
        4.   Fort Osage

Blue Springs South

Making it to the Missouri State Class 4 Final 4 last year, the first time in program history, has BSS hungry for more. South did graduate 4 stellar 2024s last season, but we believe the young & very talented team could go the distance this year to not only make it back to the final 4, but make a run for the whole thing. BSS is a high goal scoring team with 2025 Seniors Kayleb Garrett & Norah Oyler, and with 2026 Juniors and D1 P4 commits Haley Cramer & Mary Hoffman. Defensively BSS is lead by 2025 Senior Lily Gibler and D2 commit Olivia Allen who will be getting help from young 2027 Sophomore defensive teammates Kaydence Garrett and Kenley Hooks. This is the team to watch this season.

Their Schedule:

        3.   Blue Valley Southwest
        4.   Sumner Academy

St. Thomas Aquinas

You cannot spell STACKED without S-T-A. There's a reason why St. Thomas Aquinas reigns supreme not only in Kansas 5A, but also nationally ranked as well. STA is going for its 5th straight Kansas 5A State Championship Title, and we think that is well within their reach with a top tier senior class of D1 P4 commits of Anisten Cabantac and Brooklyn Marn.  Also joining the midfield are top committed 2025 Seniors Anna DiCarlo and Delanie Gaona. Speed up top can be found in 2026 Junior Kennedy Miller, and 2027 Sophomores Angelina DiCola and Hudson Sparks. The future is bright for STA as their roster is deep with a continuous adding of younger talented players to build on to their tradition of excellence. We look forward to watching their defense develop with 2 Top 2028 Freshman Goalkeepers in their arsenal, Adalynn Forge & Olivia Owens, as well as 2028 Freshman defenders Abby McKelvy and Bridget Powell under the defensive muscle of 2026 Junior Maura Maher.

Their Schedule:

St. Thomas Aquinas Weapons:

St. James Academy

With one of the best goalkeepers in the metro, 2026 Junior Emma Smith was a surprise breakout last year and we look forward to her continuing to come into her own her upperclassman season. St. James defense, lead by 2025 Senior & D1 P4 commit Avery Rasmussen along with Top 2026 Junior defender Kambree Duker, will be a thorn in the sides of attacking teams and we anticipate seeing several shutouts this season for SJA. Connecting the defense with the attack is 2025 Senior Midfielder Coryn Jesperson.  Leading the attack is 2026 Junior and D1 commit, Alexa Aylward. We think this will be quite the season for this team.

Their Schedule:

St. James Academy Weapons:

Blue Valley Southwest

Graduating out an epic 2024 class, Blue Valley Southwest is going to be relying heavily on their 2025 Senior D1 commit midfielder Izzy Ross to distribute to the young talent of the 2026 Juniors Chloe & Laney Palmer in the attack.  It is a great opportunity to find new rising talent at BVSW and we know they can rise to the occasion.

Their Schedule:

Blue Valley Southwest Weapons:

Sumner Academy

There's something brewing and building at Sumner and if you don't pay attention it's going to burn ya. Having won their last 5 league championships and coming in finalist last year at regionals, Sumner is hungry to make a name for itself. Sumner Academy is young and it will be fun to watch them grow into their skills, confidence, and ability this year. Additionally impressed with Sumner's head coach, Megan Schmidt, and her passion to building up this program. We see this as team a Cinderella story waiting to happen.
